The Naptime Scroll Volume 1

Hey there,

I spend a lot of time on the internet (who doesn’t?) and love sharing finds with friends and instafriends. The Naptime Scroll is a way to collect them all in one place. I hope you’ll like it. I promise to write everything myself, which I feel shouldn’t have to be said but it is 2026 after all.

SEE

1. I can’t wait to take my 7-year-old son to see the new Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration in Clerkenwell, Central London. He loves drawing and can spend hours making illustrations. I have zero talent when it comes to drawing and am fascinated by anyone who can pick up a pencil and make an image come to life. The centre is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

(drawings by my 7 year old son ☺️)

SHOP

2. At Mimi's most recent pop up with the Playground Collective in St Mary’s Hall in Islington I got to meet lots of new-to-me brands and founders. One stand out was Cub Zay London, founded by Shaziea. I love the navy neck tie detail in their striped shirt. Girls’ clothing seems to get all the details and fun so it’s refreshing when you see something out of the box for boys.

MAKE

3. Two years ago I got really into needlework: embroidery, cross-stitch, needlepoint, crochet, I tried it all. However, I do leave all the knitting for Mimi with the professional artisans in Brazil. If you ever considered giving it a try there are so many resources available. Some of my needlepoint favorites are Unwind and London-based American designer Frances Abel. And if you’re in London, pick up a canvas and come meet us at the next Cheeky Stitchers meet up. It’s a great way to meet new people and to learn more about everything needlepoint.

x,

Clarisse
